The National Land Agency (NLA) is a Government of Jamaica executive agency responsible for land administration, land registration, surveying, mapping, valuation, and management of Crown lands. Established in April 2001, the agency consolidated multiple land-related functions to create an integrated national land information system supporting economic development and public administration.
Headquartered at 8 Ardenne Road in Kingston, the NLA provides essential services to individuals, businesses, and government agencies. These include issuing land titles, conducting land surveys, providing property valuation services, managing government lands, and maintaining Jamaica’s national geographic and cadastral databases.
The agency also supports investment, real estate transactions, and infrastructure development by ensuring accurate land ownership records and spatial information. Its modernized digital systems allow for improved efficiency, transparency, and public access to land information.
Through its services and technological infrastructure, the NLA plays a critical role in Jamaica’s economic growth, urban planning, and sustainable land management.
