Gloria’s Seafood is a cherished Jamaican culinary institution, renowned for its authentic seafood offerings and rich history. Established in 1972 by Gloria Harris in Port Royal, the restaurant began as a modest venture serving egg sandwiches to fishermen. Over the decades, it has evolved into a beloved destination for both locals and tourists seeking traditional Jamaican seafood dishes.

 

The original Port Royal location exudes a rustic charm, offering patrons a genuine island dining experience with views of the sea. In 2018, Gloria’s expanded its reach by opening Gloria’s Seafood City at Victoria Pier in Kingston. This modern establishment retains the essence of its predecessor while introducing a contemporary ambiance and an expanded menu.

 

Signature dishes include steamed fish with bammy, curried shrimp, fried fish, and honey-jerked lobster. The menu also features innovative offerings like seafood mac and cheese and shrimp and pineapple fried rice, catering to diverse palates.
